I couldn't help but think that I would have had her out of the seat and would have just passed her off to the dad when it was my time to bowl. Then I thought about what my daughter, M, would have done. She would have had her out, nursed her, held her, and cuddled her. I know this from her behavior with her daughter, V. I think that my son, J, would have picked up baby, too, and carried her around on his shoulder, showing her the world. What good parents my children have become! It makes me so proud to see them as parents trying their hardest to do what's best for their own children.
After bowling I went right home, let the dog out, put down the mail, and did a couple of other things. When I went back to check my new iPhone to see if it needed a charge, i couldn't find it! I remembered having it at the beginning of bowling and then I thought I put it in my purse, but it wasn't there. PANIC!!! I looked all over for it and just couldn't find it. I got in the car and went back to the bowling lanes. The young man who works at the bowling alley helped me look for it. He even used his cell phone to call it, but nothing rang in the alley. I called another member of the team who I thought may have seen it left behind and picked it up. No, she didn't have it and hadn't seen it after I showed it to someone from the other team.
I was now in full panic mode. I have it less than a week and manage to loose it. I just know it is lost and gone to a new home with someone else. Young man said he would notify building manager in case it turned up and I left for home. On the way home all I could think about was that the phone was gone so soon after finally getting one with my tax money and I really can't afford to replace it with another like it. What will I do for a personal phone? I don't have a landline, so I'm disconnected until I find it.
Took my bowling bag in the house to search it just in case, but I was sure it wasn't in there. I started tracing my steps back into the house, through the kitchen, and into the living room where I saw the mail and evening paper that I had put on the table next to the recliner. I lifted the paper and, lo and behold, there was the iPhone. What a relief!!! What an idiot!!! I think I need a leash for the iPhone. Maybe a lanyard?

Thanks Sis.
Good to see you here on the blog.
Love you,
Bro
That's why you need a land-line, ma. I can't tell you how many times I've had to call my phone to find it. Mine hides under the seat in my truck at least once a month.
Here's an idea, set it to make an obnoxious noise when you get a text message and then when you loose it, you can e-mail yourself a text.
Then you can find it when it slips out of your pocket in the car.
Love ya ma!
Parenting:
I know of whom you speak and have had thoughts along the same lines! It also makes me wonder about older siblings special needs. Isn't it a contrast to the OTHER bowling baby (now just over a year old now)who gets passed from team member to team member (as well as anybody else willing to hold him)?
iPhone:
I am sooo glad you found your phone, Ruthie! OMG! How terrifying and sad and frustrating! But such joy when you found it! I cannot wait to see it. I saw a friend in AR with one. I thought it was pretty darn snazzy!
